Slovenia

By Tim

I arrived in Slovenia two days ago for the third stop of the World Cup.  We have three more races here and then we get a little break for the holidays.  I am definitely starting to feel the effects of all of the racing over the past two weeks and I am looking forward to getting a little recovery time soon.  This year I will be staying in Germany for the Holidays so that I can spend more time with Andrea and also minimize my travel time.

The first two weeks of racing went really well for me and I hope to keep that momentum going here in Slovenia.  Unfortunately, I have not been feeling 100% the past few days and I had to skip my training session yesterday.  I will train this afternoon and hopefully I will feel good enough to start tomorrows Individual.  I feel like my form was getting better and better with each race but I am really not sure where I am at now.

Thanks for checking in!

    Tim,
Another good race in the jaktstart, even if you weren’t feeling well. Fast skiing, tough luck on shooting 3. Swedish commentators were cheering for you (hoped you would shoot clear and pass the Russians), noted how much you had improved. This American living in Stockholm is cheering for you, too!

Congratulations! An american in yellow – incredible! Thanks also for letting Arnd Pfeiffer ski with you for the first two laps – so that we americans living here in germany could see you on TV.

Happy holidays, a good (and deserved) rest, and if you’re ever in northern germany please stop by.

    Auch Gruß an Andrea,

    David Kaplan

Ok I had to look at your bio—

I went to college at Paul Smiths and was one of the 8 graduates in business in 1982! Even skied for them and loved every second I was there PSC.

My husband and I coach a little ski team in Unalakleet, Alaska out on the Bering Sea. We are proud of our school district as we are the only school district in the U.S. to have a biathlon program for kids grades (5-12).

I will share your site with our skiers here!

Hey! Tim, congratulations on your success this season, I see the fruit of your hard training is emerging effects I have seen many videos on your youtoube (especially those of Rollersky, because it is more practical, the snow is a bit far from home) and are very educational, one day he could share with you a workout, since in Spain there is nobody to run the World Cup, you’re my main motivation, I like how you doing things, luck in the Olympics and the rets of World Cup. A healthy and happy Christmas with your family.

Congratulations on receiving the yellow bib! My siblings and I have been following your races via the internet and are always excited when you race well. I was shocked when I checked the USBA website and there was this picture of you in a yellow bib–amazing! I really hope that you win a medal at the Olympics–you definitely deserve it! Good luck in your next races and I hope that you can hold onto that yellow bib!
